Interim AD/Head Football Coach Named

Ardmore City Schools is proud to announce that Jim Holloway will be serving as our Interim Athletic Director/Head Football Coach as we begin the search process for the replacement of Doug Wendel. Coach Holloway is no stranger to Ardmore City Schools, he is a 1968 graduate of Ardmore High School. He is an Ardmore Tiger.

He began his career with Ardmore City Schools in 1973. After getting a few years under his belt, Coach Holloway left Ardmore to take the position of head football coach and athletic director at Boise City, Oklahoma. He felt it was a tremendous opportunity and while we hated to lose him, we certainly understood.

From Boise City, Coach Holloway moved up to Wynnewood Public Schools and up again to Altus Public Schools where he continued to have a successful career. He retired from education in 2005 but wanted to continue coaching part-time. Duncan Public Schools gave him that opportunity.

This past year Coach Holloway and his wife moved back to Ardmore. We were thrilled he wanted to be a part of our coaching staff and his expertise has been invaluable. We certainly want to thank him for stepping up and agreeing to serve as our Interim Athletic Director.
